David-Joseph Lacroix

     David-Joseph was born in Confolens, Charente, Poitou-Charentes, France. He was the son of Jacques la Croix and Antoinette Chambon. He was christened there in 1647 in the Confolens Church.1 He married 19 October 1671 at Notre Dame de Quebec, Antoinette Bluteau.2 David-Joseph married 2nd Barthelemye Maillou, daughter of Michel Maillou and Jeanne Mercier, on 20 January 1681 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.3 1681, David-Joseph and Barthelemye were listed on the Canadian Census in St-Michel-de-Bellechasse, La Durantaye, Bellechasse County, Quebec, Canada.
