Mary Ann Kiser

     Mary Ann was born in 1793 in Rockingham County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Valentine Jacob Kiser and Catherine Stiehl. Mary Ann married John Heim, son of Johan Andreas Heim and Maria Catharina Martzen, on 30 March 1809 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. Mary Ann's name was spelled Kysor on her marriage record.¹ John & Mary Ann had children: Elizabeth [12/25/1809-1/14/1901][m. John Sykes Cates], John [1811-1831], William A [3/25/1813-3/11/1863][m. 1833 Sarah Sykes], Daniel K. [1815], Sophia [10/03/1820-1/28/1858], Nancy Esther [1821], David [3/19/1822-1900], John Andrew [9/13/1826-12/23/1869 or 1899], Sophronia [1827-1860] & Cynthia [1829-1830]. Mary departed this life in 1850 in Bedford County, Tennessee, at age 57 years.
