Nathaniel Kenney
M, b. 1741, d. 24 April 1827
Nathaniel was born in 1741 in Chatham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He was the son Nathaniel Kenney & Mercy Smith. Nathaniel married Sarah Sherah Nickerson, daughter of Elisha Nickerson and Desire Nickerson, in June 1764 in Chatham. "Nathan served in Capt. Peter West's Co. against the French. He received a grant of land in Bar-
rington, N. S. where he settled, and in a deed of 1770 he was called a fisherman. In 1787 he lived
at Little River, Yarmouth Co., N. S. where he purchased 1250 acres of land."1 Nathaniel departed this life on Tuesday, 24 April 1827 in Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, Canada, at age 86 years.
