Christopher married Catherine Corfman, daughter of Jacob Corfman II and Magdalena Bibler, on 5 August 1827 in Fairfield County, Ohio. Linus E. Gibson] & Sarah [1851].1 5 August 1850, Christopher and his wife, Catherine, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Tymochtee Township, Wyandot County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Christopher Hofford [45 Virginia], Catharine [38 Ohio], children: George W. [18 Ohio], Catharine G. [14 Ohio], Barbara [12 Ohio], Conrad [10 Ohio], Mary [8 Ohio] & Lydia [3 Ohio].2 Christopher's wife, Catherine, died on 30 August 1851 in Tymochtee Township leaving him a widower. Christopher departed this life on Wednesday, 7 September 1887 in Tymochtee Township at age 84 years, 5 months and 21 days. He was buried there in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. The inscription on his stone reads: Father & Mother - Christopher Hufford born Mar. 17, 1803 Died Sept. 7 1887.
