Jean-Baptiste Hus

M, b. 19 January 1677, d. 15 November 1732
     Jean-Baptiste was born on Tuesday, 19 January 1677 in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Paul Hus and Jeanne Baillargeon. He was christened there on 22 January 1677 in St-Pierre Church.1 Jean-Baptiste married Marie-Therese Niquet, daughter of Pierre-Rene Niquet and Francoise Lemoine, on 15 October 1714 in St-Francois-du-Lac, Yamaska County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-du-Lac Church.2 Jean Baptiste and Marie Therese had children: Jean Baptiste [1012/1715-2/16/1734], Pierre [5/03/1717-6/20/1783][m. 6/30/1751 Marie Anne Desorcy dit Lincourt], Antoine [11/19/1719-4/011794], Therese [4/20/1721-8/06/1735], Marie Agathe [8/05/1722-6/29/1797][m. 5/06/1754 Joseph Lupien dit Belair], Marie Catherine [2/27/1724-8/06/1735], Joseph [3/06/1726-12/091753][m. 10/10/1752 Marie Catherine Marguerite Salvail dit Tremont], Louis [1/24/1729] & Marie Anne [7/09/1731-3/11/1783][m. 2/25/1759 Jean Baptiste Bibeau].3 Jean-Baptiste departed this life on Saturday, 15 November 1732 in Sorel at age 55 years, 9 months and 27 days. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Pierre on Sunday, 16 November 1732.4
