     Elizabeth was born in 1787 in the Shenandoah Valley near Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. She was often referred to as Bettie. Elizabeth married David Allebaugh circa 1809 in Rockingham County, Virginia. David & Bettie had children: Samuel [6/10/1810-1/26/1896], Noah [1825-1852][m. 10/15/1846 Eliza Maria Wyrick], Margaret [2/16/1822-11/23/1893][m. 2/13/1845 George Bower], Christian [6/10/1823-1/13/1888][m. 8/26/1842 Anna Maria Franks], Mary [1829] and others. David and Elizabeth moved from Rockingham County to Walnut Township, Fairfield County, Ohio in the 1820's. They then moved sometime in the 1840's to the neighboring county of Perry, living in Thorn Township where they remained. 29 October 1850, Elizabeth and her husband, David, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Thorn Township, Perry County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were David Allevaugh [66 Virginia], his wife: Elizabeth [63 Pennsylva], children: Mary [21 Ohio], Samuel [39 Pennsylvania].2 Elizabeth's husband, David, died in August 1855, leaving her a widow. Elizabeth departed this life in September 1859 at age 72 years.
