David was born circa 1144 in Huntington, Huntingtonshire, Scotland. He became Earl of Huntington in 1185. He was a commander under King Richard the Lion Hearted at the siege of Acre in Palestine during the 1st Crusade [1199]. David married Matilda de Keveliock on 26 August 1190. David departed this life on Thursday, 27 June 1219 in Yardley, Northamptonshire, England. After his death, the title Earl of Huntington is gone.
