Marie Jeanne Anne was born on Friday, 17 October 1738 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 18 October 1738 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.¹ Marie Jeanne Anne married Jean-Baptiste Lecoq dit Ladouceur on 15 October 1757 in Fort Saint-Frederic, Quebec, Canada.² Marie's husband, Jean-Baptiste, died on 3 March 1772 in Lanoraie, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marie Jeanne Anne married 2nd Antoine Courchene on 23 October 1775 in Lavaltrie, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine Church.³ Antoine and Marie Jeanne Anne had childrfen: Genevieve [7/16/1776-12/09/1847][m. 6/10/1799 Ardrouin Crochetiere], Antoine [2/20/1779] & Joseph [8/30/1782].⁴ Marie departed this life on Monday, 6 October 1806 in Maskinonge at age 67 years, 11 months and 19 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Joseph on Wednesday, 8 October 1806.⁵
