     Caleb was born on Wednesday, 11 November 1676 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He had children: Jonathan. Caleb married Mary Goldsmith (?) in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Caleb departed this life on Saturday, 25 December 1706 in the Town of Southold at age 30 years, 1 month and 14 days.2 He was buried there in the First Presbyterian Church burying ground in the village of Southold. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Here lyes buried ye body of Caleb Horton, aged 30 years 1 mo 14 dys, died Decr ye 25 1706.3
