- [S506] Note: Some sources state Elizabeth's maiden name as "Arnold" - Her husband, Joseph Hopkins was the son of Thomas Hopkins. Thomas was the son of Joane Arnold & William Hopkins. After her death in 1622, he was raised by his uncle, William Arnold & immigrated to New England with him. There was probably confusion because of the close connection with the Arnold family.
