Ruth Higgins

Ruth was born on Saturday, 11 September 1700 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Joswph and Ruth Higgins. Ruth married Ebenezer Stewaret, son of Hugh Stewart and Waitstill Denne, on 11 October 1716 in Eastham.1 Ruth's husband, Ebenezer, died between 1728 and 1733, leaving her a widow. She married 2nd before 1733, James Eldredge. James' will was proven 26 Jul 1757. Later in life, she removed to Liverpool, Nova Scotia with two of her sons, Abner and Zephaniah. Ruth departed this life after 13 March 1762 in Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was named in a deed on this date.
