William Hamlin

M, b. 25 January 1703
     William was born on Thursday, 25 January 1703 in Suffield, Hartford County, Connecticut.1 William married Abigail Stedman, daughter of John Stedman III and Abigail Andrews, in November 1731.2 William and Abigail had children: William [4/09/1733-9/30/1775] [m. Mercy Barnum], Abigail [bp. 3/02/1734/35], John [11/02/1737-<12/04/1821], Simeon [3/17/1739-11/26/1821] & Mary [bp. 9/27/1741].3 “On 6 March 1758, William and Abigail Hamlin granted power to “My son John Hamlin” to “improve or possess our part of the Lands or goods of our deceased brothers viz Timothy Stedman and Daniel Stedman;” William Hamlin jr. and Simeon Hamlin witnessed. Abigail Hamlin was named in the distribution of the estate of Timothy Stedman in 1752.”.2
