Jone was born in Buckinghamshire, England. She was the daughter of John Gynger.1,2 Jone married Thomas Baldwin of Wendover, son of Robert Baldewyn and Agnes Dolte, in Buckinghamshire, England. Thomas and Jone had children: John and Agnes. Jone's husband, Thomas, died after 7 May 1522 in Wendover, leaving her a widow.

The lands were shared between Missenden Abbey, which owned the then self-contained manor at Dundridge and the Earls of Salisbury who held the lands until Henry VIII's time who seized them from the Abbey and had Margaret Pole, 8th Countess of Salisbury beheaded.
