     Jean was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. On 13 April 1661, he was christened in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 Jean departed this life in Montreal. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Sunday, 18 December 1672.2
