William was born circa 1400 in Buckinghamshire, England.¹ William married Cecelia Englesfield, daughter of Sir Nicholas Englesfield and Johanna Clerk, circa 1419 in Thame, Oxfordshire, England, at the Manor of Rycote.² He and Cecelia were blessed with 8 children. Cecilia was the co-heiress with her sister Sybill of her father & inherited the Manor of Rycote.³ William departed this life on Tuesday, 6 July 1452 in England.⁴ He was buried at London, County Middlesex, England, in the chapel of St. Dunstan's of Westminister Abbey.⁵
