Frederika was born on Friday, 17 August 1810 in Arfelt, Krize, Whittenstiny, Westphalia, Prussia. She was christened there on 26 August 1810. On 09 September 1843, Frederika immigrated to Baltimore, Maryland. Frederika married George Ludwig Stremmel on 15 September 1843 in Baltimore. Just six days after arriving in America. 22 June 1870, Frederika and her husband, Lewis, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Bucyrus. Enumerated in this household were Louis Stremel [55 Prussia], his wife: Frederica [60 Prussia], children: Louis [25 Maryland][printer], William [23 Maryland] & Amelia [21 Maryland][seamstress]. Louis is a shoemaker & his son, William is the township clerk.1 Frederika died on Sunday, 22 February 1880 in Bucyrus at her home on South Spring Street at age 69 years, 6 months and 5 days
Obituary - Died, on the 22nd inst., at her home, in Bucyrus, Mrs. Fredericka Stremmel, aged 69 years, 6 months and 5 days. Mrs. Stremmel, formerly Miss Fredericka Feiring, was born August17th, 1810, in Artelt Krize, Whittenstine Province Westphalia, Prussia, emigrated to this country in 1843, and was united in marriage to Mr. G. L. Stremmel six days after arrival at Baltimore, Md., where they resided until their removal to Bucyrus, in 1854. Mrs. S. leaves a husband and two sons, Lewis and William. Her daughter, Mrs. Peterman, having died in 1876. She also leaves two grand-children, daughters of Wm. and Catherine Stremmel. [Crawford County Forum 2/27/1880]2
She was buried on 24 February 1880. Her funeral took place in her home on South Spring Street.3
