Francois Fafard

M, b. 1630, d. 25 December 1711
     Francois was born in 1630 in Hotot-en-Ange, Calvados, Normandy, France. He was the son of Jean Fafart & Antoinette Leverdier.1 Francois married Marie Richard on 5 November 1656 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, at the Cathedral de l'Assomption.2 1666, Francois and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census at Trois-Rivieres. Enumerated in this household were Francois Fafard [36 years], Marie Richard [30 years], Jean [9 years], Francois [6 years], Joseph [4 years], Jeanne [16 months] & servant: Claude Sauvageau [20 years].3 1681, Francois and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Francois Faffar [49 years], Marie Richard [50 years], Jean [24 years], Francois [22 years], Joseph [21 years], Jeannie [17 years], Pierre [14 years], Louis [11 years] & Marie [8 years].3 Francois's wife, Marie, died circa 31 May 1695 in Batiscan, leaving him a widower. Francois departed this life on Friday, 25 December 1711 in Batiscan at age 81 years. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois Xavier on Saturday, 26 December 1711.4
