Jean Duquet

     Jean was born on Friday, 15 December 1651 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Denis Duquet and Catherine Gauthier. He was christened there on 27 December 1651 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.¹ Jean married Catherine Ursele Amiot, daughter of Mathieu Amiot dit Villeneuve and Marie Miville, on 11 November 1683 in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-de-Sales Church, Pointe-Aux-Tremples.² Jean Baptiste and Catherine Ursele had children: Jean Baptiste [11/07/1685-4/15/1731][m. 8/20/1710 Genevieve Halle], Gabriel [8/06/1687-10/11/1759][m. 6/01/1722 Marie Marguerite Halle], Catherine Rosalie [9/05/1688-12/02/1753][m. 6/02/1710 Ignace Carrier], Marie Therese [4/19/1690-9/14/1782][m. 12/03/1718 Louis Guay], Charles [2/27/1692-8/11/1747][m. 7/03/1719 Marie Catherine Mallet], Catherine Ursele [1/16/1694-][m. 4/11/1718 Joseph Jourdain], Etienne [3/15/1695-2/27/1753][m. 2/15/1722 Marie Francoise Denault], Marie [3/30/1697-11/13/1759][m. 5/23/1718 Louis Halle], Marie Francoise [3/19/1699-3/13/1759][m. 7/29/1726 Charles Rancourt], Marie Louise [2/02/1701-6/22/1775][m. 11/18/1733 Charles Girard], Marguerite [4/04/1702-][m. 9/23/1737 Laurent Briand], Veronique [1704-7/12/1773][m. 11/26/1736 Jean Baptiste Gousse] & Joseph [1707-10/06/1767][m. 4/18/1733 Marie Angelique Moulinneuf].³ Jean departed this life between 15 February 1722 and 1 June 1722 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. He was present at the marriage of his son, Gabreil on15 February and noted as deceased at the marriage of his son, Eteinne, on 1 June of 1722.
