Jean Baptiste Bergeron

     Jean Baptiste was born on Wednesday, 12 February 1755 in Contrecoeur, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Pierre Bergeron and Marie Angelique Jodouin. He was christened on the same day there in Tres Ste-Trinitie Church.1 Jean married Marie Therese Coucis dit Lafleur, daughter of Jean-Baptiste Coucis dit La Fleur and Marie-Agathe Blet dit Gazaille, on 8 November 1779 in Lavaltrie, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine Church.2 Jean Baptiste and Therese had children: Jeamn Baptiste [8/19/1780-9/30/1780], Jean Baptiste [8/031782], Marie Therese [3/22/1784], Pierre [4/29/1785], Marie Louise [4/07/1787][m. 11/22/1802 Pierre Tonton dit Laplume], Marie Marguerite [4/191789-9/121789], Marie Marguerite [7/13/1791-10/101791], Joseph [3/17/1793-11/25/1801], Jean Baptiste [5/09/1795-9/11/1795], Marie Marguerite [8/05/1796-9/08/1796] & Jean Baptiste [10/14/1798].3 Jean departed this life on Friday, 26 December 1800 in Lavaltrie at age 45 years, 10 months and 14 days. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Antoine on Monday, 29 December 1800.4
