Bethia Downs

     Bethia was born in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Bethia married Lt. Edmund Howell, son of Captain Richard Howell and Elizabeth Tuthill, on 27 February 1775 in the Town of Southold. Edmund and Bethia had a daughter, Mahitable [2/22/1776] & baptized 7/18/1790. Bethia departed this life in August 1779 in the Town of Southold.
