Anne Dorifall

Anne was born in 1610 in England. She had a brother named Barnabas. On 10 April 1634, Anne left her home in England aboard the ship, "Elizabeth", under the command of Captain William Andrews, bound for New England. She had been hired to be maid servant to William Coddington with the provision that he would help pay her passage.. At the age of 24 years, they sailed into the Massachusetts Bay some six months later.1 She was admitted to the church at Boston on 2 November 1634. Anne married Sergeant Thomas Spencer, son of Gerard Spencer and Alice Whitbred, circa 1634 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. On 8 February 1636, Thomas' name appears on a list as owner of one house. Later in 1636, they removed to Hartford, Connecticut. Anne departed this life circa 1641 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. In 1680, her brother, Barnabas of Braintree, left all his estate to his kinsman, Samuel Spencer, who was to pay to his brothers, Obadiah & Thomas, 40s. each.
