Agnes Dell

     Agnes was born. Agnes married John Baldwin, son of Richard Baldwin and Ellen Apuke (Pooke), on 20 October 1567 in the Parish of Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England, at St. Mary's Church.1 John & Agness had children: Isabel [7/06/1569], Agnes [5/27/1571], Richard [3 /13/1575], Sarah [2/02/1578], William [11/29/1579], Thomas [9/02/1582], John [after 1583], Rebecca & possibly others. Except for John and Rebecca, the children were all christened at Chesham with the dates listed. John inherited the Dongrove Farm in the parish of Chesham from his father in 1553. It was near this farm that Thomas Harding, a follower of John Wycliffe, was martyred in 1532. By 1592, John was residing at Beaconfields as he was a defendant in a court case at that time. He was still there in 1600 when he was the overseer of his brother, Henry's will.2,3
