     Jacques was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada.2 Jacques married Catherine Dutault, daughter of Charles Duteau and Jeanne Rivard, on 11 January 1695 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of La Visitation.3 At the marriage of his son Charles in 1739, he is noted as a Captain in the militia of Ile Dupas.4 Jacques departed this life between 5 February 1739 and 10 November 1754- the dates of the marriage of his son, Charles, and the death of his wife.5
