     Permella was born on Sunday, 31 March 1844 in Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Elam Cobb. Permella married Westall Peterman, son of Michael Peterman and Sarah Ridgely, on 19 September 1861 in Crawford County, Ohio.1 Westall & Permella had children: Stanton [7/20/1862-12/26/1876], daughter [3/24/1864], Ada Belle. [4/18/1866-5/31/1913][m. 4/17/1889 Asa Frank Davis & 2nd. 21/07/1897 Seneca Griffin II], Charles John [1/24/1868-7/05/1938][m. 9/14/1892 Carrie Jame Petch], Nathaniel Steen [7/16/1871-3/08/1951] & Ottwell [5/30/1874-5/22/1958]. 3 June 1870, Permella and her husband, Westall, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Westell Peterman [29 Ohio], his wife: Permela [25 Ohio], children: Stanton [8 Ohio], Ada D. [5 Ohio], & Charles [2 Ohio].2 Permella's husband, Westall, died on 1 September 1876 in Liberty Township at his home leaving her a widow.3 She married second Edwin McDonald. 25 June 1880, Permella was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Center Township, Marshall County, Indiana. Enumerated in this household were Edwin McDonald [53 Ohio], Permillia [36 Ohio], Charles Peterman [14 Ohio], Nathaniel Peterman [9 Ohio] & Ottie Peterman [6 Ohio]. Edwin is a farmer.4 Permella departed this life on Saturday, 22 April 1905 in Crawford County, Ohio, at age 61 years and 21 days. She was buried at Chatfield Township, Crawford County, Ohio, in Moffett Cemetery.5
