Catherine Cottu

     Catherine was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Jean Francois Cottu and Marie Louise Lesiege dit Fontaine. She was christened there on 21 March 1694 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.¹ Catherine married Pierre Robillard, son of Claude Robillard and Marie Grandin, on 5 November 1715 in St-Sulpice, Quebec, Canada, at St-Sulpice Church.² Pierre & Catherine had children: Louise Catherine [10/04/1716], Pierre [9/23/1717-11/25/1796][m. 4/1742 Marie Angelique Lepine dit Richard], Marine Catherine [8/28/1719-12/10/1723], Michel [10/17/1720-6/21/1721], Marie Josephe [3/19/1722-3/03/1724], Marie Louise [7/291723-2/04/1724],Marie-Joseph [1/06/1725-3/14/1807][m. 2/25/1743 Louis Beauchamp], Jean Baptiste [6/07/1726-6/09/1726] Marie-Anne [5/15/1727-2/01/1807][m. 10/30/1747 Louis Colin dit Laliberte], child [10/18/1728-10/18/1728], Marie Francoise [11/27/1729-12/01/1729], Marie Catherine [2/09/1731-6/17/1811][m. 11/17/1749 Jean-Baptiste Hetu], Claude [4/11/1732-12/30/1790][m. 1/31/1752 Marie Anne Rondeau], Joseph [3/15/1734-6/04/1790][m. 6/21/1751 Marie Madeleine Brault dit Lafleur], Marie-Madeleline [9/27/1735-9/17/1777][m. 6/21/1751 Jean-Baptiste Perrault], & Jean-Bapiste [9/20/1738][m. 11/25/1764 Marie Louise Forcier].³ Catherine departed this life in Lavaltrie, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Antoine between 29 September 1740 and 13 November 1740.⁴
