Samuel Cook

M, b. 30 September 1641
     Samuel was born on Monday, 30 September 1641 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Henry Cook and Judith Birdshall. He removed with his parents to New Haven in 1663. Samuel married Hope Parker, daughter of Edward Parker and Elizabeth Wood, on 2 May 1667 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.1 Samuel and Hope had children: Samuel [3/03/1668-12/18/1725] [m. 3/03/1692 Hannah Ives], John [12/03/1669-4/30/1739] [m. 12/08/1697 Hannah Thorpe], Isaac 3/10/1673-4/07/1673], Mary [ 4/25/1675-45/13/1752] [m. 4/05/1699 Nathaniel Ives & 2nd 3/29/1722 Jonathan Penfield], Elizabeth [48/22/1677], Judith [2/28/1679-3/20/1708] [m. 4/20/1704 Jeremiah How], Isaac ]1/10/1681-2/01/1712] [m. Sarah Curtis], Joseph 2/25/1683-11/07/1764] [m. 10/28/1714 Eleanor Johnson], Hope [9/27/1686-1/30/31] [m. 12/18/1706 Joseph Benham].2 Samuel and his family moved to Wallingford in1670. Samuel's wife, Hope, died after 27 September 1686 in Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut, leaving him a widower. He married second Mary Robert on 14 July 1690.
