Elizabeth Clarke

      Elizabeth was born circa 1700 in New York. She was the daughter of Daniel Clarke & his second wife Hannah [Underhil] Barnes. Since Daniel did not marry Hannah until 1699, Elizabeth was probably born about 1700. Daniel names John Ferris as executor of his will in 1727 & when probated all his executors were dead. His daughters Elizabeth Ferris & Sarah Hickman were named administrators of the estate. She also had a sister Hannah.¹ Elizabeth married John Ferris II, son of John Ferris I and Mary Jackson, circa 1726 in New York. Elizabeth was married by 1736 to John Griffin.
