Jean Chastenay dit Laguigne

M, b. circa 1642, d. 20 July 1707
     Jean was born circa 1642 in Sarlande, Dorgogne, Nouvelle-Aqutaine, France, at St-Leger. He was the son of Jean Chastenaw & Antoinette Chastenay. Jean married Jeanne Fafard, daughter of Francois Fafard and Marie Richard, on 30 May 1689 in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-Xavier Church.1 Jean's wife, Jeanne, died before 31 December 1694, leaving him a widower. He remarried circa 1694, Marie Anne Angelique Hebert dit Laverdure. Jean departed this life on Wednesday, 20 July 1707 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Wednesday, 20 July 1707.2
