     Florence was born circa 1588 in England. Florence married Richard Norman circa 1606 in England. Circa 1624, Florence & her husband, Richard, left their home in England aboard a unknown ship, bound for a new life in New England. They landed at Cape Ann as part of the Dorchester Merchants' fishing enterprise..1 They were one of the first settlers in Naumkeag [later became Salem] - a section called Manchester. In the early land records there, his wife's name was listed as Florence. He is last found on records in 1653 when he deeds his house with a ten acre lot in Marblehead to his son, Richard.2 Florence departed this life in 1644/45 in Marblehead, Essex County, Massachusetts.
