Madeleine was born in Peaule, Morbihan, Bretagne, France. She was christened there on 22 July 1585 in St Gaudence Church.¹ Madeleine married Jan Martin, son of Jan Martin and Olive Canderff, in 1602 in Peaule at St Gaudence Church. Madeleine's husband, Jan, died on 12 July 1618 in Peaule leaving her a widow. Madeleine departed this life in Peaule. She was buried there in the churchyard of St Gaudence on Thursday, 29 June 1634.¹
