Jeanne-Angelique Briere

Jeanne-Angelique was born circa 1639 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France, at the parish of St-Sauveur. She was the daughter of Adrien Briere & Marguerite De la Varanne. She was first married to Andre Longtin in 1658. Adrien adopted her son, Jerome, of this marriage. Jeanne-Angelique married Adrien Sedilot dit Sieur de Brisval, son of Louis Sedilot and Marie Grimoult, on 22 September 1661 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 1666, Jeanne-Angelique and her husband, Adrien, were listed on the Canadian Census in Comte de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Adrien Sedillot [29 years-carpenter], Jeanne Briere [26 years] & Jerome Dictain [6 years].2 1667, Jeanne-Angelique and her husband, Adrien, were listed on the Canadian Census. Enumerated in this household were Adrien Sedillot [30 years] & Angelique Briere [26 years].3 Jeanne-Angelique departed this life on Tuesday, 2 June 1711 in ville de Quebec at Hotel-Dieu. On the same day, she was buried there in the cemetery of the Hotel-Dieu.4
