     Naomi was born the 3rd day of the 10th month 1641. in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.1,2 Naomi married John Lowell circa 1664.3,4 John & Naomi had children: Ruth [7/11/1665], Margaret [10/20/1666], Samuel [8/01/1669- d. y.], Samuel [1/30/1671], William [8/09/1672], Elizabeth [3/01/1674], Ebenezer [1675][m. 1/20/1694 Elizaberth Shaler], Williiam [1/03/1676], Mehitable [1/07/1677], Benjamin [11/05/1679] & Nathaniel [2/28/1681].5 In early 1680, the couple lost their home in Boston by fire. In March of the same year, Naomi's brother, Josiah, bought the land from them where the house had stood.6 Naomi's husband, John, died on 7 June 1694 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow.7 On 27 September 1694, her brother Josiah deeded a "dwelling house" in Boston to her. On 22 January 1695, Naomi deeded her home to her son, Ebenezer, with the provision that the lower room and shop and space in the yard for laying wood were reserved for her during her life. On 5 December 1695, in need of further financial assistance, she mortgaged her home for 53 pounds to Thomas Hunt, her brother-in-law, with hopes of repaying the mortgage within the year. She acknowledged this deed on 13 April 1696. This mortgage deed was acknowledged as paid and cancelled by Thomas, dated 3 February 1704.8
