Elizabeth was born in Stotfold, Bedfordshire, England. She was christened there on 31 October 1602 in the church of St. Mary's. Elizabeth married Timothy Tomlins circa 1633 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. She, along with her two cousins, Sarah & Hannah Bland, were bequeathed in her Uncle Richard Spencers's will of 17 March 1645 a messuage on Grace Church Street in London. Elizabeth's husband, Timothy, died before 17 March 1646 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow.
