     Thomas was born in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England. He was christened there on 23 January 1617/18 in St. Nicolas Church.1 Thomas married Elizabeth Birchard on 30 October 1644 in Saybrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut.2,3 Thomas and Elizabeth had children: Elizabeth [11/20/1645-7/10/1689] [m. 7/07/1673 Edward Smith], Sarah [8/26/1647-8/29/1730] [m. 12/__/1668 Thomas Sluman], Mary [2/07/1649-] [m. David Caulkins], Thomas [3/03/1652-1/29/1682], Deliverance [8/19/1655-] [6/08/1682 David Perkins], Samuel [12/07/1657-12/30/1731], Anne [9/15/1660-2/19/1715] [m. 4/08/1688 Josiah Rockwell] & Rebecca [3/18/1663-8/22/1737] [m. 4/08/1686 Israel Lathrop].4 Thomas moved from his family home to Saybrook shortly after his father's death [1651]. His allotment of land was on the east side of the river in what is now Lynn. By 1660, he had moved his family to Norwich, where the couple gave birth to Anne, the second white child born in Norwich. Thomas made his will on 13 April 1688 at Norwich, New London County, Connecticut. In his will, he gives much of his estate to his wife for her natural life. He gives other legacies to his children. Hre names his son, Samuel as executor and his wife as executrix.5 Thomas departed this life on Thursday, 15 April 1688 in Norwich.6 The inventory of Thomas's estate was taken on Monday, 24 May 1688 by Thomas Loppingwell and John Post. They appraised the estate to be valued at £182 17s. 7d. His will was probated on 13 June 1688 at New London, New London County, Connecticut. The will was proven before Edward Palmer.5
