FatherJohn Blithfield
     Richard was born in Staffordshire, England, at the Manor of Blithfield. He was a benefactor of the priory of St. Thomas in the reign of Edward II [1297-1327]. He became the heir of his father about the 4th year of Edward III [1331]. In 1359, he granted to his uncle Henry all his lands in the fees of Colton, Blithfield and Newton. On 11 June 1367, Richard granted a quit-claim deed to his son-in-law, Ralph Bagot for a meadow called Blythmor. He is of public record in the 41st year of Edward III. [1368]3 Richard married Catherine Baliden. He were blessed with one child. Richard departed this life. He died before his wife.
