     Ermengarde de was born circa 1170 in Lavendon, Buckinghamshire, England. Ermengarde de married Aldulf de Gateston circa 1186. She held land in Lathbury which she gave to the Abbey of Lavedon.2 Ermengarde's husband, Aldulf, died circa 1225, leaving her a widow.3 Ermengarde departed this life in 1241.3
