2,3 In 1826, David settled his family in Dallas Township near a spring that was to become known as “Bibler Spring”. This property was very near the Wyandot-Crawford County boundary. From the pure water running from this spring, David ran a still house on the Sandusky River which ran past his property, as well as a saw mill. He also built a tavern as he his property was located on the stage coach line. David also managed a farm and was a dealer in livestock.
4 David's wife, Elizabeth, died in September 1836 in Dallas Township, Crawford County, Ohio, leaving him a widower. David married 2nd
Sarah Bear on 7 February 1837 in Knox County, Ohio.
5 6 November 1850, David was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Dallas Township, Crawford County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were David Bilber [69 Virginia], Sarah [54 Maryland], Amos [17 Ohio] & Martha Davis [10 Ohio].
6 David's wife, Sarah, died on 9 December 1856 in Crawford County, Ohio, leaving him a widower.
7 David departed this life in 1864 in Ohio.
