Sir William Barne1

M, b. 1569, d. 7 May 1619
     William was born in 1569 in Woolwich [Greater London], County Middlesex, England. He was the son & heir of Sir George Barne & Anne Garrard. William married Anne Sandys, daughter of Edwin Sandys I, Archbishop of York and Cicely Wilford, on 11 May 1586 in England. She was married by an agreement of this date.1 He was knighted at Whitehall in 1603. He was a subscribe to the Virginia Company, owning three shares. William departed this life on Tuesday, 7 May 1619. He died intestate.
