Christopher Young II

Christopher was born in 1677 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.1 Christopher married Elizabeth Moore circa 1699 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.2 Christopher and Elizabeth had at least one son, Christopher [1700-9/16/1786] [m. 1722 Joanna Parshall], Daniel [1712-1/18/1755] [m. 10/16/1732 Mary Penny] & Martha [5/22/1715-9/20/1800] [m. Daniel Landon].3 Christopher and his brother, John, received land from their mother, Mary [Budd], that was originally part of 4 allotments of land belonging to her father, John Budd. This land was part of the first Aquabogue Division in 1661. The brothers land were 2 lots on the western end of the division and opposite Tuthill's lane on King' Road. Christopher made his will on 29 May 1725 at the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
I leave to my wife Elizabeth, 1/2 of all my movable estate, to dispose of as she pleases. And her choice of my two dwelling houses, where I now dwell, and 1/3 of the land where I now dwell, bounded north by the Kings highway, east by Thomas Conkling, south by the bay, and west by Benjamin Youngs. And 1/3 of my meadow called Puryers (Purriers) meadow, lying at the south end of said land, during the time she remains my widow and not longer. And she is to have the improvement of the other 2/3 of the land and meadow, where I now dwell, until my son Daniel shall be of age. I leave to my son Daniel, all my said land with all the houses and buildings. I leave to my wife, all the rest of my movables. I make my wife and my son Christopher, executors. –Dated 5/ 29/1725. Christopher's wife, Elizabeth, died on 22 February 1727 in the Town of Southold leaving him a widower. He wrote a codicil to his will on 24 June 1727.
Codicil. I leave to my son Daniel, all that parcel of meadow at Saw mill brook, in Southold, which I lately purchased of Jabes Mapes. Witnesses, Robert Stedman, Josiah Youngs, Benjamin Youngs.
Christopher departed this life on Saturday, 28 June 1727 in the Town of Southold at age 50 years. He was buried there in the Jamesport Cemetery. His will was probated on 16 August 1727.1
