Thomas was born after 1422 in County Norfolk, England. He was born during the reign of Kings Henry VI [1422-1461], probably towards the end of his reign. "This family of Wright was of very ancient stock, tracing its descent in an unbroken line, back to the reign of King Henry Vi [1422-1461]. The family were at this early poeriod loctated at East Laxham, county Norfolk, and later of Little Buckenham, and Weting, in the same county, then of Brent-Bradfield, county Suffolk and lastly of Kilverone Hall, Kilverstone Manor, Thetford, county Norfolk where descendants of this line continue to reside until a very rescent date. The first or rather earliest of this family of whom the ancient records give an account was one Thomas Wright of the Manors of Tindall, and Rouse in East Lexham who was living there during the reigns of Kings Henry VI., Edward IV., Edward V., Richard IIL, and Henry VII [1422-1509]". Thomas departed this life before 1509 in County Norfolk, England.
