     John was born in England. John married Margery (?) circa 1620 in England. He was a Master Carpenter. John was brought to New England by a Mr. Evance to work for Mr. Stephen Goodyear, the deputy Governor of Connecticut. In 1644, John was in New Havan where he took an oath of allegiance. In 1646, he bought a house from a Mr. Seeley. He purchased land in Stamford in 1652.3 John made his will on 17 February 1652 at New Haven County, Connecticut.4 John departed this life before 20 February 1652 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. She and her son Robert moved to Stamford to property purchased by her husband shortly before his death. His will was probated on 20 February 1652.5

John took oath at New Haven 1644. In 1651, he was considering returning to England and the town agreed to bare his charge for returning if he "was willing to come again". He bought Lieut. Seeley's house in 1646. He was a carpenter. In 1652, he bought land in Stamford. His wife & son Robert removed to Stamford after his death.
