Hezekiah was killed by Indians on Wednesday, 1 July 1676 in Swansea Township, Bristol County, Massachusetts. At his home. Hezekiah was shot by Indians and his head carried off by them. This happened inspite of the respect the Indians had for Hezekiah and his family. A show of this respect was shown by the fact that other Indians found his head cleaned it up, braided his hair with beads and returned it to the family. Even the most warsome of the Indian tribes regretted his death. The Leader of the band that killed Hezekiah was caught and hung.
