Edward Willett
M, b. 7 October 1656, d. before 11 February 1744
Edward was born in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England. He was the son of Edward Willett and Bridigett Clutterbuck. He was christened there on 7 October 1656 in the parish church. Edward married Tabitha Mill, daughter of William Mill and Tabitha Wright, in 1698 in Prince George's County. Soon after their marriage, Edward and Tabitha founded a Pewter business on their plantation called Bealington. Edward and Tabitha had children: Bridgett [7/18/1699], Ninean [11/30/1701-11/09/1773][m. circa 1724 Mary], Edward [1/12/1703-4/08/1772][m. 1734 Mary & 2nd 1764 Grace Burton], James [1705][m. Amy], William [1707-8/27/1772][m.1737 Mary Griffin], Thomas [8/09/1708-9/18/1851][m. 1729 Isabella Allison] & Anne [1712][m. 1728 James Swann]. Edward made his will on 16 June 1743 at Prince George's County, Maryland.
To my eldest son NINIAN WILLETT, 5 shillings sterling and the plantatlon on which he now lives on, which sometime ago I gave him by a deed of gift. which may be found among the records of Prince George's Co. Courts.
To my son EDWARD WILLETT, 5 shilling sterling and 60 Acres being pt of the tract of land James lives on and made over to him by a deed of gift, sometime ago.
I give my son THOMAS WILLETT his tract called "Lick Hill" belonging to me.
To My son WILLIAM WILLETT, I give a tract called "Beal's Craft" of 43 Acres and 87 Acres of tract called "Bealington" being pt where I now live.
To my son JAMES WILLETT, all remaining tracts of land called "Bealington" with his 2 bros, EDWARD and WILLIAM WILLETT.
To my dau Anne SWAN, all that tract called "Ryley's Plains" adjoining to the land of Cuthbard Anderson, 172 Acrfers, and I give to the said Anne Swan, the acre of land I bought of Mr. Stodart in the town of Mount Calvert. He mentions sons THOS., Wm., and JAMES and dau Anne SWAN and gives them a tract called "Little Dean" that he bought of Thomas James and tract called "Horse Race" that I bought of Ephriam Beal.

Edward departed this life in Prince George's County, Maryland. He was buried on the family plantation "Bealington." His will was probated on 11 February 1744.
