Thomas was born circa 1538 in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, England. Thomas married Joane Tyndall circa 1558. Thomas made his will on 11 October 1570 at Pippers in the Parish of Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England.
In the name of God Amen the xi daye of October in ye xiith yere of
the Raigne of our Sovraigne ladye Elizabeth by the grace of God of England ffrance and ireland Quene Defendeer of ye faythe, etc. I, Thomas Baldwyn of Pypers, within the pish of Chessham in the countie of Bucks husbandman beinge sick of bodye but of good and perfect remembrance laud and prayse be geven to almightie God for ye same do make and ordayn this my last will and testement in mind and forme

Itm I will yt Jone my wyfe shall have the occupation of all my land in Chesham pishe makying no volungarye wast untill John my son come to the full age of xii yers, And then he to have and enjoye the same, if he do so long lyve, if he do not so long lyve, then I will yt Richard my sone shall have ye same land when he shall come to the age of xxi yeres.
Itm I will yt John my sone shall have when he cometh to ye age of xxi yeres, my best coopbord ye best bed and bedstedd furnished, the best cofer, the table in ye hale, the forme, the best brasse pott; the long cart, the Dong Cart, the plough and a payre of harrowes, fower horses with harnes therto belonging.
Itm I will yt John my sone shall have when he cometh to his full age
of xxi yeres half my corne and cattell, unbequeathed.
Itm I will and bequeth unto Richard my sone xx£ which xx£ I will yt it shal be mad of my woodds to be sould by my brother Richard Baldwyne, and John Tyndall also J Avlard, and the same to be put in a stock within ii years after my disease, to ye use of my sone Richard aforesaid at ye discretion of my brother George Baldwyn and Henry Baldwyn.
Itm I will and bequethe unto my sone Richard vii sheepe, one cowe and a bullock and one payer of sheets.
Itm I will and bequeth unto either of my ii daughters Jane and Amie vi£ xiiis iiiid. to be mad ow of my woodds as aforesaid. And also I will yt if either of Daughters do dye before the tyme of their mariadge or come fully to ye age of xviii yers. that then ye other to have her part.
Itm I will yt if Richard my sone do dye before he come to the full age of xxi yers, yt then x of his stock to be devyded betwene my ii Daughters Jane and Amye and the rest to remayne to my sone John if he do so long lyve, and also if John my sone do dye before he come to his full age of xxi yers then I will yt Richard my sone shall enjoye all such gyfts as was geven to his brother John paying owt thereof unto his ii systers x. I will yt all such Debts which I do dewly owe be mad owt of my woodds as aforesaid. Also I geve and bequeth Jane vi shepe and ii payer of sheets.

All ye rest of my goods unbequethed my will being Pformed I geve unto Jane my wyfe whome I do ordeyne and mak my whole executrix of this my last will and testament. And also I will and request my brother George Baldwyn and my Cousin Henry Baldyne of Dunridge my overseers to se and take order both in ye sale of my wode and in all matter of matters which are in this my last will conteyned and declared. will was proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Bucks, 16 Dec., 1570, by his widow; but I have no further account of her or the children. Children: John, Richard, Joane, Amy.
