Joseph was born on Monday, 11 May 1654 in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Henry & Jane [Goodenow] Wight.2 Joseph married Deborah Colburn, daughter of Nathaniel Colburn and Priscilla Clarke, on 15 January 1680 in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.3 Joseph's wife, Deborah, died on 30 August 1684 in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, leaving him a widower.3 Joseph married 2nd Mary Stearns on 22 April 1685 in Massachusetts. Joseph departed this life on Thursday, 23 June 1729 in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.
