Daniel Whitney

     Daniel was born on Thursday, 4 April 1720 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Daniel married Thankful Burt, daughter of Benjamin Burt and Sarah Belden, on 8 August 1741 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Daniel and Thankful raised their family in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. They later sold their property and removed to Warwick, Orange Co., with Thankful's brothers and sister, Christopher, Daniel, Seaborn and Sarah Cornwell in 1760. They finally removes to Romulus and remains there until their death. He lived at the southeast corner of the town near "Whitney's Landing". He probably lived with his grandson, John Whitney. Daniel departed this life circa 1809 in Romulus, Seneca County, New York.
