Mary Whitman

     Mary was born on Saturday, 16 November 1652. She was the daughter of Valentine & Mary Whitman. Mary married John Inman , son of Edward Inman I and Elizabeth Hopkins, after 20 January 1670 in Glocester, Smithfield Township, Providence County, Rhode Island. On this date, the intentions of their marriage was announced. John & Mary had children: Mary [m. 12/19/1695 Samuel Bartlett], Deborah [ -12/29/1762][m. 7/06/1725 Joseph Baster], Sarah [m. Daniel Mathewson], Anne [m. Samuel Comstock], John [m. 6/28/1716 Susanna Ballou], Valentine [ -1770][m. Barbara Ballou & 2nd Ruth], Naomi [m. 2/05/1714 John Ballou], Joanna [ -7/26/1723] & Tabitha [1693-7/30/1723]. Mary departed this life on Saturday, 27 April 1720 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, at age 67 years, 5 months and 11 days.¹
