     Jane was born on Tuesday, 8 September 1682 in South River, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, in All Hallow's Parish. She was christened there in St. Margaret's Church, Westminster Parish.3,4 Jane married William Ridgely II, son of William Ridgely and Elizabeth Clarke, on 4 March 1701/2 in South River at All Hallow's Parish Church.5 Jane's husband, William, died before 10 June 1719 in the family home "Abbington", South River, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, leaving her a widow. Jane made her will on 20 December 1746.

Know ye that I Jane Ridgley of Annarundel County in the Province of Maryland being of perfect Mind and Sound Memory on this twentieth day of December Anno Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and forty Six make and Ordain this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in the following manner and form:
Imprimis I give and Bequeath to my son William Ridgley the sum of Forty Shillings current money
Item I Give and Bequeath to my Son Westal Ridgley the Sum of five Pounds Current money
Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Ridgley one Nego Woman Named Beck and her Daughter Phebe Likewise the Choice of one Morter and Pestle one Bell mettle Skileot one Iron Spit one Sarge Iron Pot and one Gallon Ditto also my Riding Horse and Sadle with the Blew Covering and her Choice of Two Cows and Calves
Item I Give and Bequeath to my Son John Ridgley one Negro man Named Josh provided that he pay to my Daughter Martha Maccubin Ten Pounds Current money and the Sum of Ten Pounds Current money to my Daughter Alice Woodward also I Give and Bequeath to my son John Ridgley and his heirs forever all my Right Title Interest and Estate Whatsoever which I now have or may hereafter have to that Part of a Tract of Land Called Abbington Whereon I now Dwell
Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughtrer Martha Maccubbin one Feather Bed and furntiture
Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Alice Woodward on Feather Bed and furniture
Item I Will and Bequeath all my other remaining Part of my Personal Estate of Whatever Nature and kind soever to be equally divided between my Daughter Sarah my son John my Daughter Martha and my Daughter Alice
Lastly I Constitute and Appoint my Son John Ridgley whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testatment

Jane departed this life in South River at the family home "Abbington". Her will was probated on 11 March 1749.
