     Keziah was born in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was christened there on 21 May 1699 in Milford.2 Keziah married John Beardsley, son of John Beardsley and Abigail Wakelee, on 29 December 1725 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. The family first resided in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. In 1724, he received from his father 36 acres of land on the Lower White Hills "for parental love". About 1726, they removed to Ripton. No certain date can be given for the arrival of the first settlers within the limits of Hardyston. Several cabins were built on the site of the Village of Hamburg near 1740. John and Keziah were either one of these first settlers or immigrared soon after. His property was on the Mill Brook road which led into Franklin Corners.
