     Mary was born in 1644 in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut. On either the 24th or 28th of June 1644, Mary christened in Milford at the first Church of Milford.1 Mary married John Catlin circa 1662 in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut, at the first Church of Milford. Mary's father, Joseph Baldwin marred about this same time, as his 2nd wife, John's mother, Isabella.2 John & Mary had children: John [7/21/1663], Mary [7/10/1666-3/09/1704] [m. Thomas French], Elizabeth [1667-3/09/1704] [m. 1690 James Corse], Hannah [2/24/1671/__/1746] [m. Thomas Boscum], Joseph [1673-2/29/1704] [m. 6/26/1701 Hannah Sheldon], Sarah [1675-12/12/1733] [m. 1694 Michael Mitchell], Ester [1677-12/12/1733] [m. 1694 Ebenezer Smead], Jonathan [1679-2/29/1704/], Ruth [1684], John [1/08/1687-1/12/1766] [m. 1715 Jemima Hall] & Ruth.3 John & Mary resided at Arthur Kill, New Jersey in 1680. On 31 August 1681, John was Justice of the Peace in Newark.4 Mary's husband, an unknown person , died on 29 February 1704 in Deerfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow.5 Mary died on Friday, 4 April 1704 in Deerfield at age 60 years of the trama caused by the massacre in Feburary. She may have been saved at that time by her act of giving an injured French officer a cup of water. She being left behind as an act of gratitude. She was buried there in Old Deerfield Burying Ground.6
